1. Describe Color and it's effects on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting.
-Color can influence a person's mental state depending on if they were warm colors or cool colors. They can make a person feel comfort, anger, calmness or sadness.
2. What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why?
-I think it is incredible if someone walked into a room they could be immediately effected by the colors on the wall. For instance, when some parents first have a baby they may paint the walls in the baby's room yellow because the emotions that register from this are happy and friendly.
3. In the Color video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions?
-Each picture done had a contract with it that stated the amount of pigments to use. One in particular was known as ultra blue. This came from Afghanistan and took up to 3 weeks to make. The incredibly vibrant blue color was used to create the Virgin Mary's cloak which gave off an inviting and trustworthy feel.
4. In the Feelings video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions?
-David created a political painting of Marat dead in the bathtub surrounded by his papers and his work. Marat was meant to be symbolized as a saint or Christ by the way he is slumped in the bathtub. But what is most intriguing is the how David created nothing but blackness around Marat. This blackness symbolizes and makes the emotion of emptiness and sadness and that there is no life after death.
